What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, postal address and, if you give them, your phone number and company name. We collect this because we cannot ship a tool or answer a question about an order without it.

If you create an account we store the same details plus a one-way hash of your password. We never store your password itself and cannot read it.

Payment

We do not collect, process or store card numbers. No part of this site asks for card details. Payment is handled by a payment provider, and card data never reaches our servers.

Cookies

We set a session cookie named rgsid when you sign in. It is required to keep you signed in and cannot be turned off while you are using an account.

Your basket is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, so it stays on the device you added items with.

Who else sees data

• Google Analytics — measures how the site is used. It sets its own cookies.
• Google reCAPTCHA — scores sign-in, sign-up and checkout to block automated abuse. Google receives browser signals for this.
• Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• PayPal — only when you pay, and only to take the payment.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Keeping and removing data

Orders are kept as business records. Email orders@rebarguns.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have your account removed.
